One College, Eight Departments, Endless Possibilities...
Established in August 2005, the College of Education at National Taipei University of Education (NTUE) is a significant and specialized academic unit. Initially comprising eight departments, a restructuring took place in August 2012, reducing the number of departments to seven. As part of this restructuring, the Department of Life Education merged into the Department of Education, and the Graduate School of Curriculum and Instruction and the Graduate School of Instruction and Communication Technology merged. Additionally, the Graduate School of Law and Education became part of the Department of Educational Management. In August 2024, the College of Education underwent further transformation, with the Graduate School of Law and Education being re-established as an independent entity. Currently, the College of Education consists of eight departments, established in the following order:
Ø Department of Social and Regional Development (including Master Program)
Ø Department of Special Education (including Master Program in Special Education, Master Program in Early Intervention)
Ø Department of Early Childhood and Family Education (including Master Program)
Ø Department of Psychology and Counseling (including Master Program)
Ø Graduate School of Law and Education
■ Diverse Field Development
The College of Education encompasses diverse fields, including elementary education, social and regional development, special education, early childhood and family education, education administration and management, curriculum and instruction, communication technology, psychology and counseling, as well as legal studies in education. It presents a diversified and distinctive profile. Each department within the College of Education not only offers undergraduate programs but also provides academic courses at different levels, including master's and doctoral programs, to meet the needs and development of learners. This comprehensive approach aims to cultivate educational professionals in various fields.
