Chih-Lin Sun is a distinguished professor in the Department of Educational Management at National Taipei University of Education, concurrently serving as the dean of the College of Education and an advisor to the Association of Elementary and Secondary School Principals. Dr. Sun graduated from National Chengchi University with a major in educational administration and policy. He has served as a visiting scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from February 1, 2010, to January 31, 2011, and at the University of Canberra in Australia from August 1, 2019, to January 31, 2020, engaging in international research and academic exchange.

 

Dr. Sun has extensive expertise and experience in education training, human resource planning, and education policy analysis. His academic research covers areas such as education policy, educational administration, educational evaluation, educational leadership, principal preparation and professional development, school management and development, teacher education, and teacher professional development. He teaches courses in education policy, principles of educational administration, educational evaluation, policy analysis of teacher education, and professional development of teachers.

 

Over the years, Dr. Sun has been recognized for his contributions, receiving research grants from the National Science Council (1999-2023), special awards for outstanding talents (2010-2023), teaching practice research project grants from the Ministry of Education in 2022, and teaching excellence awards from National Taipei University of Education in 2005, along with outstanding student guidance awards in 2008.

 

In terms of academic publications, Dr. Sun has authored impactful books, including "Research on Education Policy and Evaluation: A Quest for Excellence" (2014), "The Future of Teacher Education: Policy and Practice" (2010), and "Building Confidence: Seven Series of Teacher Efficacy" (2010). He has also contributed numerous journal articles and technical reports. Dr. Sun's commitment to exploring educational issues is evident through his active participation in conferences, professional services, and social engagement, all geared towards bridging the gap between research, policy, and practice.
